Megaphone is a service that delivers curated boxes containing talismans representing U.S. based social movements that you can keep for yourself or give to others.
Artists will be commissioned to create wearable objects, or a curation team will carefully select existing objects available in the marketplace. This wearable/shareable aspect speaks to the belief that peer-to-peer interactions create the most impactful culture change.
The prototype shown here is a box
containing historical artifacts representing the LGBTQ rights movement as it expressed itself in San Francisco Bay Area in the mid 1980s, with a “news feed” card that brings the movement to current day and actionable steps to support it into the future.
Below are mockups of the Megaphone website, which details the importance and history of activism. It also includes ways to get involved and subscribe to the box.
